Position Summary
The Summer Analyst will assist with modeling, investment screening and coordinating transactional due diligence, as well as executing project finance and M&A transactions. The Summer Analyst is expected to complete straightforward tasks independently and more complex tasks with guidance from their supervisor.

Position Summary
The Summer Analyst will assist with modeling, investment screening and coordinating transactional due diligence, as well as executing project finance and M&A transactions. The Summer Analyst is expected to complete straightforward tasks independently and more complex tasks with guidance from their supervisor.
- Values straightforward portfolios for potential acquisition, including building straightforward discounted cash flow models, identifying risks and opportunities, and presenting potential acquisitions to the investment committee, with the support of relevant colleagues.
- Works with the business development team to interface with project developers and sellers.
- Assists the deal manager for acquisitions, including preparing for seller meetings, updating, and auditing the portfolio model, conducting due diligence, coordinating with third party advisors, and creating investment committee materials.
- Assists investment team with revenue research and optimization.
- Assists capital markets team with marketing materials, models and Q&A for tax equity and debt financings.
- As needed, assists with special projects for other business verticals at CleanCapital.
Education Requirements
- In pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree with a May 2025/2026 graduation date, or a Graduate Degree with a May 2025/2026 graduation date required
- Excellent academic track record (3.5 GPA +)
- Internship will run from end of May/early June 2025 – end of August 2025
Technical Skills and Experience
- Relevant experience in renewable energy, acquisitions, financing or another related role, including other internships or other co-op experiences.
- Creating and modifying Excel based models including financial statement models and valuations/DCF models.
- Coordinating or supporting complex transactions complex transactions with multiple stakeholders and advisors.
- Preferred, but not required experience:
- Conducting asset due diligence and auditing financial models to ensure 100% accuracy of assumptions and information.
- Writing comprehensive summary documents and collecting investment materials to present to senior and external audiences.
- Understanding Tax Equity and the role a Tax Equity Investor plays in the capital stack of solar facility investments.
- Demonstrated interest in renewable energy or sustainability, as shown through coursework, projects, or extracurriculars.
- Solar experience is strongly preferred
